Mekhi Mitchell-Tave (he/him/his) is a UC Santa Barbara alumnus, c/o ‘22, receiving his Bachelor's of Science in Political Science and Black Studies. As an advocacy counselor, Mekhi is committed to building genuine relationships with both students and faculty while advocating for the needs and interests of the Black student population. Outside of serving in the Office of Black Student Development, Mekhi is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and assists the local social justice organization Coffee With A Black Guy with its community events. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing basketball, and making music. Mekhi is extremely excited to be of service to our Black student body and is looking forward to making lasting change on campus.
